Ser Raitmefort

Ser Charbonnier's conroi
Paulemont
Age: 25
A former infantryman of the original conroi Charbonnier was part of, along with Raitmefort. He used to be at odds with Charbonnier, viewing him as a lowly outsider who had no place within the group of squires. After triggering an explosive trap set by heretics on a corpse of a knight tied to a tree, Paulemont lost his right arm and sustained severe burns on the right side of his torso and face. Due to his injuries he was not present during the siege of Dusk Vigil where all but Charbonnier and the conroi's commander Ser Tim were massacred. Paulemont feels guilty for not being present and begged Lord Soleilmont to let him serve the nobleman and his family as a guard, which Soleilmont agreed to.
Paulemont and Charbonnier have since become friends through shared grief and adversary. Despite his disabilities, Paulemont's spirit is strong and he maintains a self-deprecating sense of humour. Paulemont is usually the man Charbonnier turns to when he is needed elsewhere, hence the ginger has become a regular sight in the training grounds, grooming the next generation of would-be-knights.
Bougonoix, 'Ser Grumpy'
Age: 31
A serious man who has been assigned as one of Lady Adaillie's bodyguards, a fact he is not very happy about. He often butts heads with others and has bit of a superiority complex. He is usually seen exchanging barbed words with those he deems lesser.
When Charbonnier was wounded in Bozja, Bougonoix took his place as Lord Soleilmont and Lady Yvette's bodyguard. Lady Adaillie has given him the nickname 'Ser Grumpy' due to his unfriendly demeanor.
Milunoix
Age: 24
An infantryman who fights with longswords. He is taciturn and rarely enlightens others on what goes in his headspace, preferring to let his actions speak instead.
Like Charbonnier, he is one of the few Twelveswoodborn members of the conroi. Their shared Duskwight ancestry and status as outsiders has helped forming a bond between the two. On the battlefield Charbonnier prefers fighting beside Milunoix the most due to the two sharing similar approach to tackling different kinds of situations.
Milunoix was one of the men who saved the captured conroi members from the Aurum Vixen and Erwin Briepont's interrogation and torture.
Quentinquile
Age: 29
A member of House Durendaire's cavalry, Quentinquile, like most cavalry, is on easy terms with the other knights, being seen as the table-turner and saving grace on the battlefield. He has also experience being a signalman and knows the linkpearl technology inside-out. It was thanks to him that the men could locate and free the captured conroi members.
Despite not being part of the same conroi originally, Charbonnier knew Quentinquile from having trained fighting on chocoboback with the brunette prior to the merging of the two conrois.
Raimondcuile
Age: 58
An officer in the conroi, second to Charbonnier. Having lost his sons in the Dragonsong War, Raimondcuile took the mantle of an officer to ensure the same fate wouldn't fall on other young aspiring knights after the death of the previous commander. He takes training and discipline seriously, but sees no need for unnecessary fawning. He sees all of his conroi members as his sons and treats them with fatherly affection outside the battlefield.
Despite the rocky start of their relationship thanks to Raimondcuile's apprehension at a foreigner taking the commander's role, Charbonnier and Raimondcuile have since formed a deep trust. However, their visions for the conroi and its organising and leadership do not always match due to their very different backgrounds and experiences.
Pépinaux
Age: 20
An Eastern-Coerthan marksman with a keen eye who began as a hunter using longbows. Upon being drafted, he changed his bow to a crossbow and impressed even Raimondcuile with his sniper's accuracy, despite otherwise struggling to meet the high standards set by the officer. Later in the war Pépinaux adopted firearms with the rise of the machinists' guild. In comparison to his fellow knights in the conroi, Pépinaux is more faint-hearted and easily intimidated in melee. However, when given a rifle and a hiding place, he can thin the ranks of the enemy with deadly calm, and has even had opposing infantry trample over him, only to receive bullets to the back of their heads. To make himself look less young, Pépinaux wears fake facial hair.
Charbonnier jestingly calls Pépinaux 'mes yeux'—his eyes—as the Duskwight's eyesight during daylight isn't very good. Pépinaux prefers receiving orders from Charbonnier to Raimondcuile due to the Duskwight's experience as reconnaissance and tendency to study the terrain thoroughly both through maps and in person before assigning the sniper's post.
Legérgeant
Age: 24
A sapper who is equal measures of talent and sarcasm. His vast list of duties include breaching fortifications, demolitions, bridge-building, laying or clearing minefields, preparing field defenses, road and airfield construction and repair. He used to work at Skysteel Manufactory, but after the death of his twin who worked as a field cook, Legérgeant decided to take his bottled up grief and hatred and put it to use on the battlefield. Legérgeant doesn't generally get along with others well, as it was his twin that would be the mediator between the roudier twin and others, even within the family.
Like with his old conroi, Charbonnier didn't initially get along with Legérgeant. It took a near-death experience for the stubborn sapper to warm up to the Duskwight officer.
Baudouinet
Age: 27
A military engineer who, like Legérgeant, formerly worked at the Skysteel Manufactory. His duties include constructing and repairing bases, roads, bridges, and infarmaries, as well as clearing routes and airdocs. During the war most of his efforts, however, went to maintaining artillery and operating the Bertha-cannons. He often takes the helm of the airship to transport the rest of the conroi and is known for his mad aerial maneuvres to avoid both dragonfire and Garlean artillery fire, while maintaining a calm and cool air about him.
Charbonnier has deep respect for Baudouinet as a pilot and requests the man to steer their ship whenever possible.
Raitmefort
Age: 18, deceased
A young magicker who, along with Paulemont, was part of the original conroi with Charbonnier under the command of Ser Tim. Only few weeks after his knightening the conroi was sent to defend Dusk Vigil against a joint attack. Raitmefort perished on the inner wall. However, Raitmefort would not suffer to let his killer continue without him, and just as the dragon swallowed Raitmefort, the young magicker cast ice spikes to sprout out of his body. The dragon died to the wounds.
The rivalry and mutual dislike between Raitmefort and Charbonnier often ended up in a brawl and bruises. However, after Raitmefort's death, Charbonnier built a personal memorial for the knight which he visits every year, toasting and spilling a glass of alcohol in his honour, as Raitmefort was eager to grow to his full stature and be able to hold his liquor.
